Color is the first thing anyone notices in a kitchen — and sage green is the most talked-about kitchen color in India for 2026. Sitting between soft green and muted olive, this calming earthy tone brings a natural warmth to the kitchen that neither white nor grey can achieve. This L shaped modular kitchen by Lexangrit Design Studio uses this trending sage olive green to create a kitchen that feels fresh, contemporary, and deeply inviting — while packing in one of the most comprehensive storage configurations in the studio's portfolio.
Starting with the base units, the 3 drawer unit keeps everyday essentials — cutlery, spices, and small utensils — accessible without bending into deep cabinets. The wicker basket unit provides ventilated storage for onions, potatoes, and root vegetables — a staple requirement in Indian kitchens that is often overlooked in modular kitchen planning. The bottle pull out unit keeps oils, sauces, and condiments neatly organised in a slim, space-efficient pull out column — maximising every centimetre of the kitchen footprint.
The corner unit addresses the most challenging storage problem in any L shaped kitchen — the corner space. A well-designed corner unit transforms what is typically dead, inaccessible space into functional storage, dramatically increasing the overall storage capacity of the kitchen.
The tambour unit — also known as a roll over unit — provides a dedicated appliance garage for mixer grinders, toasters, or small countertop appliances, keeping them hidden behind a rolling shutter when not in use. This keeps the kitchen countertop clean and clutter-free.
On the wall beside the chimney, a GTPT unit provides tall pull out storage for grocery items, dals, and dry goods — one of the most space-efficient tall storage solutions for Indian modular kitchens.
The loft units above the wall cabinets complete the storage picture, providing a dedicated space for occasional utensils, festive cookware, and rarely used items — stored out of sight but always accessible.
