A well-executed living room floor plan is the foundation of a great interior. Before any material is selected or furniture purchased, the layout must answer one critical question — does every element of this room serve both function and aesthetics simultaneously? This living room floor plan by Lexangrit Design Studio answers that question with a confident yes.
The main entrance on the right wall sets the circulation path for the room. Entering from the right, the eye is immediately drawn across to the full wall TV unit on the opposite wall — creating a strong visual axis that anchors the entire living room layout. The L shaped sofa with coffee table is positioned centrally, facing the TV unit, defining the seating zone clearly while allowing comfortable movement around it. An L shaped sofa is one of the most space-efficient seating solutions for Indian living rooms — it seats more people than a standard 3+2 sofa arrangement while taking up less floor area.
The powder bathroom or common washroom door is discreetly positioned within the layout — accessible without disrupting the living room's visual flow. This is a detail that separates thoughtfully planned homes from improvised ones — guest access to a washroom without passing through private areas of the home.
On the north wall, a wall clock is placed in keeping with Vastu Shastra principles. A clock on the north wall is considered auspicious and is believed to promote prosperity and positive energy flow — a subtle but meaningful design decision that resonates deeply with Indian homeowners.
The south wall features a complementing grey groove cutting wall with golden metal T patti — a contemporary accent wall treatment that adds texture, depth and a touch of luxury to the living room. The grey tone is sophisticated and versatile, while the golden T patti strips add warmth and a premium finish that ties the room's color palette together.
